Job Description

OK Tire Store, Inc. is seeking a dedicated Service Truck Operator to perform tire repair and mounting for various types of tires in all weather conditions. This position requires participation in a 24-hour rotating on-call schedule to ensure timely roadside and emergency service for customers. The ideal candidate must also be detail-oriented to collect and document necessary information for proper billing administration.

Responsibilities

  • Respond promptly to service calls as directed by the Service Writer(s).
  • Communicate with the shop upon job completion to receive the next assignment.
  • Conduct daily vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation.
  • Complete all DOT-required and company paperwork, including obtaining printed and written signatures for national account work.
  • Assist in the shop when not on a service call, as assigned by the Service Writer.
  • Unload and store tires in the designated area.
  • Submit fuel receipts daily to the Administrative Assistant.
  • Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, including wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
  • Report all near misses, incidents, and injuries, ensuring proper documentation is filed within required timeframes.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned, which may change based on company needs.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Ability to lift 75 lbs frequently and 100 lbs occasionally.
  • Must be able to bend, crouch, kneel, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the shift.
  • Comfortable working in various environments, including outdoor conditions with extreme heat, cold, dust, and exposure to automotive chemicals.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record.

Work Schedule

  • Standard hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM.
  • Peak season: May require extended hours to meet customer demands.
  • Rotating on-call schedule for 24-hour emergency service.
