Maintain a clean and productive work environment by keeping tools and supplies organized throughout the work area department.
Follow proper operating procedures, and Job Element work standards as assigned.
Consistently meets production and quality requirements.
Communicate recurring issues and actively support continuous improvement around station problem solving.
Maintain a strict adherence to the Standard Operating Procedures, thereby clearly identifying irregularities that may cause damage or inefficiency and prescribing corrective measures that improves these processes.
Communicate and work with neighboring departments to resolve repetitive concerns. Repairs must meet Rivian Quality Standards.
Diagnose vehicle issues.
Determine correct course of action for issues that arise.
Coordinate with Quality and Process Engineering to implement solutions.
Establish timelines for repair and impact to production.
Support repair with other technicians and relevant partners and test/assess efficacy of repair.
Help build capability around SME and problem solving in other Technicians and Team Members
Able to work in a manufacturing environment (exposure to noise, abrasives, heat, cold, adhesives, automated and manual machinery) wearing required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) such as safety glasses, closed shoes, arm sleeves and designated PPE gloves as required.
Responsible for work cross functionally for business and production needs.
Flexible and responsive scheduling requiring early and late days with little advance notice.

Have subject matter expertise and deep understanding of their station – all standard work, machinery, parts, interface equipment including HMI’s and teach pendants and the support members involved.
Be knowledgeable of safety protocols and reporting, MES operations (Andon) and shop floor management
Station subject matter expert – knows how to resolve and trouble shoot most common issues.
Know basic diagnosis and associated workflows.
Strong communication skills
Technical expert of equipment in functional area
Remains flexible and responsive to changing conditions.
Must be meeting performance expectations in current role.
Ability to stand for 8-12 hours per day.
Required to walk; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
Ability to lift and carry at least 25 pounds.
Ability to perform all duties in a working environment that may contain dust, high noise levels, hot and cold weather.
Extensive tooling knowledge and experience ranging from hand tools to power tools to robotics and conveyance.
Ability to perform any tasks assigned from production operations to advanced repairs in hard to reach areas.
Painted surface repair and rework experience is a plus.
Class A surface repair.
The salary range for this role is $26.00 per hour for Illinois based applicants. This is the lowest to highest salary we in good faith believe we would pay for this role at the time of this posting. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, specific competencies, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, shift, and organizational needs.
The successful candidate may be eligible for annual performance bonus.
