About Tanglewood 

In 1940, the Berkshire Music Center (now the Tanglewood Music Center) began its operations. Home to the famous Boston Symphony Orchestra, and the site of one of the world’s best-known music festivals, Tanglewood hosts the Festival of Contemporary Music, along with many other events including concerts of various genres from jazz to pop. Today, Tanglewood annually draws over 350,000 visitors. Each season offers not only a vast quantity of music, but also a vast range of musical forms and styles, all of it presented with a regard for artistic excellence that makes the festival unique.

About the Role 

We are seeking reliable and customer-focused individuals to join our retail team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, enjoys assisting customers, and takes pride in delivering accurate and efficient service. The position involves hands-on retail operations, merchandising support, and a commitment to maintaining a positive shopping experience for every customer. 

  

Job Responsibilities  

  • Responsible for operation of point-of-sale terminals and handling all retail transactions accurately and efficiently.  

  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.  

  • The ability to remain calm under pressure is a must! 

  • Must be able to stand for several hours.  

  • Excellent customer service skills and a willingness to obtain knowledge of the inventory.  

  • Required to assist customers on the retail floor and help with merchandising projects as needed. 

Required Education and Experience

  • ​High School or Equivalent.  

  • 1-2 Years Retail Cashier experience a plus.  

  • Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds.   

  • Mandatory background check.  

  • Knowledge of classical music is helpful.  

  • Full & part-time positions available.  

  • Must be available to work days, nights and weekends. 

Pay Rate Range: $17.50 - $18.00
