Commissionaires Great Lakes (CGL) is a private, not-for-profit organization founded in 1925 on a mandate that prioritizes providing meaningful employment for veterans and others committed to the well being of Canadians primarily in security guard and related services. Spanning Central and Southwestern Ontario, our services are customized to respond to the dynamic and evolving security needs of both private and public sector clients. These include uniformed guard, mobile response and support services, by-law enforcement and identification services. 

We are currently seeking a Commissionaire to join our growing team. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

WHAT OUR EXCEPTIONAL COMMISSIONAIRES ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR:

• Access control
• CCTV monitoring
• Reception duties- responding to queries from the students or guests
• Conduct foot patrols in both indoor and outdoor areas.
• Locking and securing doors after hours - ensure no individual is on-site after hours
• Respond to emails in a professional and timely manner
• Duties and requirement may change on instruction from Client or Regional Manager

WE ARE EXCITED FOR YOU TO OFFER US:

• *MUST*Valid Ontario Security Guard License
• *MUST* Valid WSIB accredited First Aid and CPR certificate
  
• *Mandatory* – Be able to obtain a Vulnerable Sector Check
  
• Must have good email communication skills
• Strong communication and computer skills are required
• Knowledge of working in college or university environment will be considered as an asset
• Ability to stand/sit/walk for long periods of time
  
• Ability to lift up-to 25lbs
  

WHAT THE JOB OFFERS YOU:

• Job Type: Full-Time 
• Hourly Rate of Pay: $21.63
• Hours of work: Monday-Friday 1500-2300; on special event will require to start early or stay back
• Location: 60 Distillery Lane, Toronto
• Paid on-site parking
