馃殌 The Role: Patient Coordinator/Medical Receptionist

This role ensures a smooth and supportive patient experience by managing intake, coordinating with physicians and insurers, and organizing equipment pick-up and delivery for our Orthotics & Prosthetics department.

馃攳聽What We're Looking For

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.

  • Minimum of 1 year of front desk reception or administrative experience, preferably in a medical or clinical setting.

  • Basic understanding of medical insurance terminology (referrals, authorizations, co-insurance).

  • Proficiency with basic office software and the ability to quickly learn internal systems.

馃洜聽What You鈥檒l Be Doing

  • Greet patients and visitors upon arrival, check them in and out, and ensure the reception area remains clean, welcoming, and accessible.

  • Distribute, collect, and review patient intake, ensuring all demographic information, medical history, and consent forms are accurately entered into the system.

  • Schedule and confirm patient appointments for initial evaluations, casting/scanning, device fittings, and follow-up adjustments, optimizing the daily schedules for our clinical staff.

  • Collect co-pays, deductibles, and outstanding balances at the time of service, and provide accurate receipts.

  • Answer incoming clinic phone calls and address basic inquiries.

  • Manage incoming prescriptions and physician referrals, create accurate patient charts, and assist in tracking the progress of orthotic and prosthetic orders to ensure timely delivery of care.
