Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Deli Team Member. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing excellent customer service, as well as experience in food preparation and handling. As a Deli Team Member, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality deli products, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring a positive experience for our customers.

Duties and responsibilities:

  • Prepare and serve a variety of deli products, including sandwiches, salads, and hot food items.
  • Follow established recipes and guidelines to maintain consistent food quality.
  • Assist customers in making deli product selections and provide information about ingredients and dietary considerations.
  • Ensure proper handling, storage, and disposal of food products to maintain freshness and safety standards.
  • Maintain a clean and organized deli counter and work area, including regular sanitization of surfaces and equipment.
  • Monitor and manage deli inventory, restocking items as needed, and rotating products to minimize waste.
  • Collaborate with other team members to fulfill customer orders efficiently and accurately.
  • Uphold food safety standards and follow health department regulations.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, addressing customer inquiries and resolving any issues promptly.
  • Follow company policies and procedures, including time and attendance guidelines.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience in a deli or food service role is preferred.
  • Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and maintaining accurate records.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • Positive attitude and a commitment to delivering outstanding customer service.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods and lift/move objects up to 30 pounds.
