Description

Star of the Sea Catholic School is seeking a Business Manager for immediate placement.

 

The Business Manager’s  primary objective is to insure the timely and efficient execution of all financial transactions for the school and to assist the principal in upholding   the school budget.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES/TASKS

  • Maintains all school financial accounts including accounts receivable, accounts payable and prepares bank deposits.
  • Maintains all tuition accounts, Café accounts and incidental billing accounts in the FACTS Tuition Management system.
  • Maintains and reconciles all school banking and investment accounts. 
  • Prepares and submits payroll for bi-weekly pay periods – this includes auditing timesheets, tracking all leave time and recording the bi-weekly GL journal entry.
  • Assists with the onboarding of new hires and maintains all personnel records.
  • Assists employees with open enrollment for diocesan health and disability benefits.
  • Assists Principal and Finance committee with tuition rates annually.
  • Prepares monthly and Year end reports for the Principal, and Diocesan Office of Finance.
  • Attends and prepares an agenda and the financial reports for quarterly Finance Committee meetings.
  • Assists Principal in preparation of annual Preliminary Budget and annual Final budget.
  • Assists Principal with diosesan financial reports as well as annual State of the School financial information.
  • Prepares yearly appointment letters for all employees each school year.
  • Determines and records all student financial assistance awards as well as award notification letters to the parents each school year.
  • Orders office supplies and janitorial suppliesMaintains complete confidentiality with all matters concerning employees and registered families.
  • Other duties as assigned

 

Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting preferred
  • 3-5 years of relevant, equivalent work experience.
  • Excel & Microsoft Word

 

WORKING CONDITIONS - Full-time 38.75 hours   Monday – Friday 7:30am – 3:15pm
