Healthy Home Technician (3 Positions)

Housing Services Core | SNAP

SNAP is seeking qualified and motivated individuals for three Healthy Home Technician positions to join our Housing Services Core. These full-time, regular positions play a critical role in advancing SNAP’s mission by improving the safety, energy efficiency, and overall quality of housing for individuals and families in our community.

As a Healthy Home Technician, you will perform hands-on work that directly impacts the well-being of clients—helping create healthier, safer, and more sustainable homes across Spokane County.

Location: Spokane, WA

Status: Full-Time (40 hours per week)

Starting Salary: $21.62 – $24.18 per hour (DOE)

Full Salary Range: $21.62 – $33.91 per hour

Position Summary

Position Summary:  Performs weatherization and minor home improvement work in single-family, multi-family, and mobile homes to improve energy efficiency, safety, and housing quality while meeting established production and documentation standards. Primary duties include installation, air sealing and door and window replacement.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Improve Home Energy Efficiency

    Perform weatherization work to reduce heat loss, including installing insulation, sealing air leaks, and replacing windows and doors in a variety of housing types.
  2. Document Work with Accuracy

    Utilize tablets, smartphones, and computers to record job details, input notes, and capture before, during, and after photos to ensure accurate reporting and compliance.
  3. Meet Program Standards

    Consistently meet production goals, quality control standards, and documentation timelines established by the Weatherization Program.
  4. Use Technology for Communication & Workflow

    Use Microsoft Outlook, Calendar, and Salesforce to manage schedules, communicate with team members, and document work performed.
  5. Maintain Inventory Control

    Follow established inventory procedures, including checking materials and tools in and out to ensure accountability and efficiency.
  6. Problem Solve On-Site

    Identify and resolve routine technical issues in the field, communicating with supervisors when additional support or escalation is needed.
  7. Promote Safety & Professionalism

    Follow all safety protocols and maintain a professional, respectful presence while working in client homes.
