Job Duties: Troubleshoot, repair and maintain, boilers, commercial hot water heaters and HVAC systems. Perform preventive maintenance, conduct inspections, and complete work orders. Assist staff with painting, plumbing, carpet and tile installation, snow removal and other duties as assigned within the scope of the classification.

Requirements / Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: Associates degree or equivalent vocational education in construction, industrial engineering, HVAC, welding, or other building trade. Experience in building maintenance, a mechanical trade, or performing safety inspections, investigations or training may be substituted for education on a year-for-year basis as determined appropriate by the agency.

Preferred Qualifications: Electrical experience, operating heavy equipment, plumbing skills, power tools, painting skills, knowledge of groundskeeping equipment, and basic construction experience.

Work Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00 AM to 3:30 PM with rotating on call duties

Other: This position requires driving. As such, the incumbent must be able to provide a valid driver's license. Regular and Reliable attendance is required.


 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Boiler, chiller, air handler experience, pneumatic pumps. Basic computer skills. Must be able to lift 50 pounds. Rotating on call duties. The ability to work unsupervised on projects and work with maintenance staff on projects.
