Join our dedicated team at Seaside Health Care Center, part of Atlantic Shores, as a Staff Development and Infection Preventionist RN. This unique role combines leadership in staff training with oversight of infection prevention and control programs, ensuring exceptional care and a safe environment for residents and staff.

Additional compensation includes:

  • Hourly employees:
    • 1.5x Holiday Pay
    • 1.5x Overtime Pay for every hour worked over 40 hours per week
  • Full-time employees:

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and deliver engaging staff education programs, including CNA training, new hire orientation, and ongoing in-services.
  • Lead our infection prevention program, including tracking trends, conducting audits, and providing training to staff.
  • Collaborate with leadership to implement quality assurance and performance improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
  • Stay ahead of regulatory requirements to maintain compliance and foster a culture of safety.
  • Support both skilled nursing and assisted living settings, working closely with the Director of Nursing.

 

 

What We’re Looking For

  • Education/Experience: Active RN license in Virginia with experience in infection prevention, staff training, or quality improvement preferred.
  • Certifications: Certification in Infection Control (CIC) or willingness to obtain within one year.
  • Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills. Proficiency in developing and delivering training programs.
