- 6-8 Weeks of paid training. First 3-4 weeks of classroom training takes place in our Christiana Donor Center/HQ in Newark, DE. Hotel accommodations will be provided.
- This position offers a 3-step career ladder for new employees until they develop and successfully demonstrate the skills to learn advanced blood collection procedures.
- This position is “essential” during severe weather or emergency operation events.
- Conducts donor interviews in a confidential professional manner to determine donor eligibilities according to BBD standards.
- Initiates whole blood collection/phlebotomy procedures and monitors the donor’s progress, according to BBD collection guidelines.
- Prepares for donor interviews and blood collection by ensuring that interview materials and phlebotomy equipment and supplies are set up and/or operable in keeping with Quality Control standards.
- Exemplifies BBD’s Customer Service Mission and Core Values.
Qualifications:
- Must have your own reliable vehicle
- Must have a valid Driver’s License
- High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Minimum of 2 years of face-to-face customer service experience
- Minimum of 1 years of successfully managing multiple tasks in a fast paced working environment
