Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough conflict-of-interest searches for all incoming files and matters using the firm’s conflicts database.
  • Monitor and manage conflict resolution processes, including maintaining and updating the conflicts database to ensure data accuracy and integrity for client, matter, and party records.
  • Prepare and provide conflict reports summarizing findings to attorneys on all new matters.
  • Collaborate with partners, associates, and the intake team to ensure all required information is accurately provided by the legal teams at the time of request.
  • Work alongside attorneys’ administrative teams to ensure the firm intake policies are followed so matters can be opened in a timely manner according to the firm’s expectations.
  • Be an integral part of the implementation of firm’s new conflicts/intake program by supporting the new policies and procedures.
  • Participate in periodic training of attorneys and staff on the firm’s new conflicts process and protocols.

Qualifications

  • Previous conflicts experience in a law firm, preferably involving program implementation.
  • High degree of professionalism with the ability to work independently and collaboratively, and with good judgment under pressure.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal professional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Highly organized with the ability, and escalate and communicating issues when necessary.
