Are you an experienced Veterinary Nurse looking for a new challenge? At Vets for Pets Chester Caldy we have an exciting opportunity for an experienced nurse to join our team.
About Us:
Chester Caldy Vets4Pets was opened in 2017 as a one-vet practice by JVP Emma Hall. Since then we have grown to a five-vet team with four RVNs and two SVNs, all supported by our welcoming team of receptionists and veterinary care assistants and our compassionate practice manager.
Our Vet team hold various post-graduate certificates ranging from medicine and surgery to diagnostic imaging and acupuncture. Our RVNs enjoy schedule 3 procedures, building relationships with clients through clinics, diagnostic imaging and monitoring anaesthesia. We support development and encourage further training for all our staff. We are an RVN Training practice, RCVS GP-accredited, a Cat-Friendly Clinic (Gold) and a VetGDP approved practice.
About the Role:
This is a part time role working 2 days per week, plus 1 in 4 weekends.
We are looking for an experienced RVN to join our friendly and supportive team. This role would suit a confident nurse who enjoys mentoring and supporting SVNs. Ideally, you will already be a Clinical Coach or be willing to work towards this qualification, as you will work closely alongside students during their shifts to help guide their development and build their confidence in practice.
By joining us, you will have the opportunity to fully utilise your nursing skills, including admitting patients, monitoring anaesthesia, patient recovery and discharge, and schedule 3 procedures including surgery and dentistry. You will also be supported by a team of VCAs and SVNs who assist with theatre turnaround and patient preparation, allowing you to focus on delivering high-quality nursing care.
Benefits we offer:
- Salary £30,680 pro rata.
- Contributory pension scheme.
- Memberships paid (RCVS and VDS).
- CPD is encouraged and supported.
- Great company discounts and rewards - including 20% off at Pets at Home, and the Vet Group
We want our colleagues to be as diverse as our clients. Our teams are inclusive and celebrate difference so if you meet our role requirements, we’d love to hear from you.
