$1,000 Sign on Bonus



The Association for Individual Development (AID) is a non-profit organization whose mission is to empower people with physical, developmental, intellectual, mental health challenges; those who have suffered a trauma; and those at risk, to enjoy lives of dignity and purpose.  We are looking for a Therapist Qualified Mental Health Professional in Elgin, IL who demonstrates this mission and wants to work for an organization that makes a difference in the community. 



Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:30-5 with TWO late day per week until 8pm. 



What you will be doing?





  • Therapist QMHP is responsible for the provision of counseling, skills training and case management services to a caseload of clients who are diagnosed with persistent mental illness. 




  • Services are provided in family and individual treatment settings with both adult and children/adolescents.




  • Services are offered both onsite and, in the community or client home.




  • Therapists are expected to work with a team of service providers within the agency and throughout the social service community to ensure that all needs of clients are met. 




  • This job position may have some work components that can be performed remotely. 





Essential Job Responsibilities 




  • Attend scheduled work hours including evening hours 

  • Provide effective individual and group counseling 

  • Complete clinical assessments that meet the requirements of program funders and applicable administrative rules 

  • Provide case management services as medically necessary 

  • Complete required documentation (IM+CANS, documentation including encounters, consents) on a timely basis 

  • Meet minimum service provision/productivity requirements    as assigned by Director based on specific job duties              

  • Acquire and maintain required certifications and trainings 

  • Maintain client files according to agency policy 

  • Maintain professional judgment and performance regardless of personal issues 

  • Abide by AID’s Code of Ethics, policies and procedures
