Journey is seeking a strategic, forward-thinking Vice President of Finance to join our leadership team. This individual will play a critical role in shaping the financial direction of the organization and ensuring financial stability, growth, and accountability across all operations. This role is ideal for a finance leader who thrives in a dynamic, mission-driven environment and excels at both strategic planning and hands-on execution.

Key Responsibilities

  • BA/BS degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or Management required. Master of Business/Finance/Accounting preferred.
  • Two to five years of relevant finance experience with an understanding of financial and accounting statements.
  • Financial analysis and modeling skills, and experience in forecasting, budgeting, reporting, and variance analysis.
  • Sophisticated Microsoft knowledge (i.e Power BI, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, Outlook, PowerPoint etc.).
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to tackle problems given limited resources and time, have a strong work ethic, and carry out to deadlines. Able to work with ambiguity and changing priorities.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills.
  • Experience in health care finance preferred, but not required.
  • Position may require travel to trainings, facilities or meetings off-site.

 

Essential Job Functions:

    • Combining an understanding of finance, practical knowledge of financial statements and reports to use data to make-and-drive decisions, this candidate will perform various financial planning and analysis processes to support key strategic decisions, drive Journey’s operational growth, and ensure financial objectives are achieved
    • Perform analytics required to synthesize multifacility datasets and produce concise outputs to deliver business insights, reporting and analyses, and recommendations and/or conclusions to leadership
    • Aid in the reporting and financial performance management frameworks for the business and help define metrics and performance indicators to evaluate overall business performance
    • Work cross-functionally with the broader Finance team, Operations team, and Accounting to fully understand the business, its customers, and overall operations
    • Actively participate in the target setting, and annual/quarterly planning processes
    • Lead all aspects of the monthly close process ensuring financial and reports are accurately maintained in accordance with Journey’s policies and procedures
    • Pursue continuous improvement in all areas of the business with an emphasis on, Operations, service delivery, Accounting, and Finance
    • Optimally assist in numerous projects at a given time in a fast-paced environment
