Sr. NPI Technician will be part of a diverse and multi-functional team working on high-end engineering projects that are transferring into production. You will be tasked with working through challenging pre-production builds and documenting findings. You will be expected to focus on critical project deliverables expected from the project manager, lead engineer, or direct lead. As part of the team your efforts will be combined to improve processes, implement best practices, and continually improve capabilities.


Responsibilities:

  • Support best practices of 5s, safety, GDP, documentation, standardization, etc.
  • Work with leaders to balance workload and adjust as required to match priorities
  • Interface with project management, production, and NPI engineering to ensure expectations are met
  • Maintain current records for group and corporate QMS training
  • Participate, support, and drive data-driven problem-solving solutions
  • Communicate to management and other business leaders as appropriate
  • Work directly on complex transfer activities including documenting, troubleshooting, building, testing and training for new products

Qualifications:

High-School Degree. AS Degree prefferred, BS Degree a plus (Technical Field)

  • Experience: 5+ years of experience, with at least 3 years in a regulated manufacturing environment (Life Sciences).
  • Experience in reading drawings, layouts, schematics
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced ever-changing environment
  • Prototype development experience, cable assembly, electromechanical assembly, chassis/box building, intuitive process development
  • Understanding and experience in testing electromechanical equipment and subassemblies
  • Adept in using Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
  • CAD skills in solid modeling or other design tools are preferred
  • Trained in the setup and use of oscilloscopes, frequency generators, power supplies and other basic lab equipment
  • Trained in the use of measurement tools such as micrometers, comparators, CMM, visual inspection equipment
  • Lean Manufacturing Experience preferred
