About the role


 


At our residential care home in Aberavon, we pride ourselves on delivering tailored care that respects the individuality of each resident. Our compassionate and highly trained staff work closely with residents to ensure their personal needs, preferences, and wishes are at the heart of everything we do.


Our home is a warm and vibrant community of 60 residents, each with their own personality and support needs, including individuals living with dementia.


As our Activities (Engagement and Enablement) Co-Ordinator you will co-ordinate the activities programme within the service. You will work with residents in order to provide each one with an activities programme based on their needs, likes, dislikes and abilities whilst also taking into account their choices and preferences.

Skills and Experience Needed


 



  • Experience of building community and relationships that benefit people we support

  • The ability to follow Care Plans from various stakeholders



  • Ability to support our customers and people we support in an aspirational, inspirational & person centred way.

  • Insight and awareness of the Care Standards Act including National Minimum Standards

  • QCF level 3 or other / equivalent qualification

Pay and Pensions


 



  • 25,178 (FTE)

  • Enhanced DBS which we will pay for

  • Social Care Wales registration is fully reimbursed
