Position Summary




Works hospital claims for Governmental Payers to ensure correct reimbursement assuring medical necessity and compliance is met.










Primary Position Responsibilities





  1. Perform all activities for billing, claim adjustment, account follow-up processes.

  2. Utilize tools and software provided.

  3. Complete payment review, working Compass Exception Reports and Remits.

  4. Other duties as needed.

  5. Process denials timely.

  6. Exhibit strong professional customer service in daily interactions.










Qualifications




Minimum Education:



Required:



High School Diploma or Equivalent



Preferred:



Associates Degree in Business Administration





Minimum Years of Experience (Amount, Type and Variation):



Required:



None



Preferred:



Two years experience in a hospital or physician billing environment, two years experience working on a Windows based software package and prior experience working in a customer service environment. Experience with Medicare Rules, DRG/APC payment methodology.





License, Registry or Certification:

Preferred:



Certificate and/or advanced specialized or technical training: Certified Revenue Cycle Professional (CRCP)





Knowledge, Skills and/or Abilities:



Required:



Computer Skills and Customer Service Skills.

Detail oriented, bookkeeping skills, Team player
