Job Details: 

  • Industry: Educational and Clinical Assessments
  • Start Date: As soon as possible
  • Location: Flexible (preference for Greater Chicago or Atlanta)
  • Reports to: Strategic Finance Officer


Key Responsibilities: 

  • Identify and address complex financial, operational and business issues, bringing effective information to bear, supporting timely decision-making, driving action and results.
  • Contribute to the preparation, reporting, and analysis of financial information for the Clinical Business Unit, including budgets, forecasts, and monthly analyses of results. 
  • Analyze business unit expense (operating and capital) and trends, and the preparation of reporting and synopsis of the business results to the business and management.
  • Prepare annual budgets which reflect market conditions, key business drivers and strategic and operating initiatives, and properly balance realism with healthy stretch objectives. Help identify action steps to ensure successful delivery against budget targets.
  • Collaborate with leaders on business cases for capital expenditures and other key initiatives.
  • Support contract and pricing reviews, as well as design of adequate sales incentive plans with the CFO and Business Unit General Manager
  • Anticipate business needs and maintain a strong understanding of key business drivers and industry trends.

 

Required Experience: 

  • 1-2 years of experience, MBA or MSF is a plus
  • Strong technical skills, with emphasis on Microsoft Excel. Experience with Tableau or other data analysis tools is a plus
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Strong problem-solving abilities, and comfort working with data 
  • Can-do attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
