Job Description

Position Summary:

The sanitation employee, under direction of the DC Manager, is to keep assigned areas of the facility clean and orderly; and to perform related duties as required. To perform manual labor and a variety of duties relative to assigned area of responsibility.


Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Must be responsible for the cleaning and sanitizing of the equipment and work areas. Must comply with all Good Manufacturing Practices
  • Must complete in-house chemical training and must be able to work in wet, cold or hot environments.
  • Must be able to work weekends and overtime as needed. Must be able to follow safety precautions and procedures.
  • Must have basic knowledge of how to handle and operate cleaning equipment, process equipment, and chemical equipment. Must be able to perform physical work such as standing, pushing, pulling, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching.
  • Ability to follow instructions and established procedures.
  • To adhere to all company policies and to act as a role model in the adherence to company policies.

 

Preferred Skills:

  • Responsible for cleaning and sanitizing of the equipment and work area. 
  • Must be able to read and follow areas of assigned duties on the Master Cleaning Schedule. 
  • Must be able to work in wet, cold or hot environment and work weekends and overtime as needed. 
  • Must be able to perform physical work such as standing, pushing, pulling, stopping, kneeling, crouching and reaching. 
  • Must be able to follow instructions and established procedures.
