Position Purpose: Responsible for preventive maintenance, corrective and emergency repairs of facility equipment.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrates the values and business principles of Leadec.
- Works safely at all times.
- Using hand and air tools.
- Conduct basic problem solving.
- Follow customer safety and quality requirements.
- Ability to quickly analyze and repair both mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Understand written job instructions.
- Use sketches manuals, specifications, and written and oral instructions to troubleshoot and repair equipment.
- Completing documentation of repair details as directed.
- Responsible for the removal, replacement and lens cleaning of all assembly plant, administration and outbuilding lighting.
- Replace bad bulbs on either a scheduled or as required basis.
- Replace bad light ballasts throughout the facility.
- Perform light readings in various areas of the plant as required.
- Inventory and order the appropriate light bulbs for required tasks.
- Maintain replacement records, schedules and PM's as required.
- Properly crush all fluorescent bulbs utilizing the bulb crusher in the maintenance shop. Properly label and store full barrel as required.
- Responsible for maintaining restroom fixtures and dispensers.
- Remove, replace, repair or rebuild as required restroom fixtures including flush valves, faucets, drains, commodes and urinals.
- Clear plugged fixtures as required. Clean up after unplugging.
- Clean out plugged traps and sewer lines using appropriate equipment. Notify supervisor when plumbing contractor is required.
- Replace batteries in automatic flush valves and towel dispensers.
- Repair or replace broken restroom paper dispensers.
- Replace broken, stained or otherwise unsuitable ceiling tile throughout the facility.
- Some clogs may still require calls to Roto-Rooter.
- Other minor repairs as required.
- This position is the primary backup for the hazardous waste handling position.
- Repair or replace door hardware.
- Replace empty CNG bottles as needed and leak test new full bottles.
- Cover designated propane location and fill as needed.
- Adhering to and supporting all EHS and Quality objectives, in accordance with ISO 14001, 45001 and 9001 respectively.
- All other duties as assigned by Leadec manager.

Position Qualifications:
- Valid state plumbing license required with at least 5 years of related piping experience.
- ASSE 5110 Backflow Prevention Assembly Tester certification preferred but not required. Training can/will be provided.
- ASSE 5130 Backflow Prevention Assembly Repairer certification preferred but not required. Training can/will be provided.
- Pipe welding experience a plus.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of plumbing experience, preferably in an industrial or manufacturing setting.
- Ability to pass maintenance-based aptitude testing.

- Required to talk and/or hear in an industrial setting (noise level is moderate). Frequently required to stand and walk on concrete surfaces for 4 -12 hours. Occasionally required to reach with hands and arms; lift; climb or balance; kneel, crawl, stoop, or crouch.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and at heights when necessary.
- Manual dexterity for handling tools and small components.
- Tolerance for working in varying temperatures and industrial environments.
- Vision requirements: close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception and focus adjustment.
- Work is performed in an industrial-manufacturing environment with occasional time spent working on a computer or at a desk.
