Other organizations sometimes call this role an Activities Assistant, but we believe this role deserves the very special title of Life Enrichment Assistant!

 At our community, our Life Enrichment Assistants play a key role in enriching our residents to live an active vibrant life!

Sunday - Thursday

What will you get to do as a Life Enrichment Assistant?

  • Get to know the residents of our community so that you can help with the planning and implementation of spiritual, physical, intellectual, cultural, and emotional programming that will make residents feel engaged and fulfilled.
  • Promote and communicate upcoming community events and activities.
  • Participate in activities. Residents love games, painting, singing, and music and we need someone to help organize and run these events!
  • Utilize social media, email, and newsletters to showcase the fun things happening each day!
  • Those 21 or over may occasionally drive the company vehicle to transport residents to and from events.
  • Help set up and break down events and activities.

Requirements

  •  Supports the Mission, Values and Vision of Brandywine Living and the facility.
  • Is knowledgeable of resident rights and ensures an atmosphere which allows for the privacy, dignity and well-being of all residents in a safe, secure environment.
  • Supports, cooperates with, and implements specific procedures and programs for:
  •  Safety, including universal precautions and safe work practices, established fire/safety/disaster plans, risk management, and security, report and/or correct unsafe working conditions, equipment repair and maintenance needs.
  • Confidentiality of all data, including resident, employee and operations data.
  • Quality Assurance and compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Compliance with current law and policy to provide a work environment free from sexual harassment and all illegal and discriminatory behavior.
  • Supports and participates in common teamwork:
  •  Cooperates and works together with all co-workers; plan and complete job duties with minimal supervisory direction, including appropriate judgment.
  • Uses tactful, appropriate communications in sensitive and emotional situations.
  • Follows up as appropriate with supervisor, co-workers or residents regarding reported complaints, problems and concerns.
  • Promotes positive public relations with residents, family members and guests.
  • Completes requirements for in-service training, acceptable attendance, uniform and dress codes including personal hygiene, and other work duties as assigned.

 

Essential Duties
- Assists Escapades Producer in implementing, planning and scheduling activities and innovative programs.
- Facilitates socialization among the residents.
- Invites/encourages residents to participate in planned activities.
- Conducts/leads activities.
-Trains, supports and instructs other staff members in conducting activities.
-Helps implement decoration of the community for special events, seasons and holidays.

- Chaperones activities outside the community.
-Assists with transportation for activity outings and regularly scheduled group trips.

- Accepts on-call responsibilities as assigned by your supervisor.
-Carries out other duties as assigned by your supervisor to ensure smooth operation of the program and to meet residents’ needs.

  •  Assists with transport of residents to and from activities as needed.
    Other Duties
  • Perform tasks which are supportive in nature to the essential functions of the job, but which may be altered or redesigned depending upon individual circumstances.
  • Other duties as directed by supervisor.
