POSITION SUMMARY
The primary focus of the Senior Accountant is to participate in the monthly closing process and provide support to the Accounting Manager, Controller and other senior management for special projects and supplementary reporting.
This position is fully onsite, Monday-Friday.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Essential Functions and Duties:
- Process bi-weekly payroll for Solis Health Plans, Inc. and Sunscripts OTC, LLC
- Assist in the month-end closing process
- Prepare accurate and timely journal entries
- Prepare accurate and timely balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare accurate and timely bank account reconciliations
- Assist with review of financial statements
- Assist with year-end audits
- Assist with Accounts Payable tasks, such as processing recurring vendor ACH/wire payments, vendor setup, 1099 filings, etc.
- Assist with special departmental projects, as necessary
- Supports the success of the organization by focusing on continuous improvements in business processes and preparation of internal control process documentation
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting
Languages:
- English
Skills and Experience:
- 3 – 5 years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- Healthcare industry preferred, but not required
- ADP experience preferred, but not required
- Strong excel experience (Pivot tables, Vlookups, Sumifs, Xlookups)
- Strong analytical skills and ability to work independently
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects
- Ability to work overtime as required

The work is performed indoors. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. May be sitting for a prolonged period.
The work schedule is approximate, and hours/days may change based on company needs. All full-time employees are required to complete forty (40) hours per week as scheduled, including weekends and holidays as needed. May require some OT during varying seasons of the year.
