Key Responsibilities
Cost Planning & Budgeting
- Develop and maintain detailed project budgets aligned with scope and schedule.
- Support preparation of cost estimates for upstream facilities (e.g., drilling, wellheads, gathering systems, processing units).
- Review and validate contractor and vendor cost submissions.
Cost Control & Monitoring
- Track, analyze, and report project costs against approved budgets.
- Identify cost variances and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain cost control systems and ensure data integrity.
Forecasting & Reporting
- Prepare monthly cost reports, forecasts, and cash flow projections.
- Provide accurate Estimate at Completion (EAC) and Estimate to Complete (ETC).
- Communicate cost performance, risks, and opportunities to stakeholders.
Change Management
- Evaluate cost impacts of scope changes and variation orders.
- Support change control processes and maintain change logs.
- Ensure proper documentation and approvals for all cost changes.
Stakeholder Coordination
- Interface with engineering, procurement, construction, and finance teams.
- Support project management with financial insights and recommendations.
- Participate in project review meetings and audits.
Risk & Compliance
- Identify financial risks and contribute to mitigation strategies.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and client requirements.
- Support internal and external audits.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Experienced in cost control within upstream oil & gas projects.
- Experience with EPC/EPCM contractors (preferably within Worley or similar organizations).
- Strong understanding of upstream project phases (FEED, detailed design, execution).
