We are looking for a Business Banking Manager in Irvine, CA.
Essential Functions
- Responsible for the credit competency of the Business Banking Group and for the profitability of the Banking Offices.
- Provides technical credit guidance for other Regional Managers and associates in other Regions in the Division.
- Responsible for safety, soundness and client and associate satisfaction and retention.
- Approves and assists with the creation and implementation of Banking Offices business plans.
- Partners with others on the senior management team to strategically deploy resources to maximize individual and team performance and meet Division small business lending, deposit, fee income, and new client acquisition goals.
- Analyzes and controls expenditures of the Business Banking Group to conform to budgetary requirements.
- Continually surveys the market area to update and implement appropriate business plans.
- Effectively monitors the Banking Offices and SBA team' responsibilities of acquiring, managing and growing profitable account relationships with an emphasis on moderately complex and medium sized business customers that have annual gross sales generally between $2MM and $30MM.
- Monitors adherence to effective financial analysis and underwriting in the areas of credit, cash flow and collateral.
- Performs oversight of the divisions credit quality, compliance, risk management and covenant tracking procedures and assists the Division with the same.
- Guides the Banking Offices Managers in their overall success of growing their portfolios by assisting when needed in deepening relationships with existing customers and acquiring new customers.
- Partners with Line of Business representatives in creating a collaborative action plan to strategically exceed revenue growth goals.
- Provides a tactical approach to campaigns, client calls, referral follow-up, etc.
- Responsible to report month-to-month progress toward goal accomplishments and manage/change/update plan (as applicable) to meet targets.
Qualifications:
- Requires a Bachelor's in Business Administration, Finance or other related field and 12+ years in business banking sales and credit management including 7 years managerial experience over a major segment of the company. An equivalent combination of education and experience may meet qualifications.
- Employs advanced knowledge of all areas of credit, including commercial, real estate, and/or business sales and lending.
- Must have demonstrated sales experience, negotiation skills, portfolio management skills, basic accounting and small business credit underwriting skills.
- Must be familiar with regulatory issues and financial reporting.
- Must have superior leadership and mentoring skills.

This position is eligible to earn a base salary in the range of $238,000 - $277,000 annually depending on job-related factors such as level of experience and location.
