Boone Hospital Center, a 392-bed full service hospital in Columbia, Missouri is seeking a PA Cardiologist. This role functions as an integral member of the inpatient cardiology team, providing comprehensive care to hospitalized patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular conditions.

Overview

Responsibilities:

  • Perform comprehensive history and physical examinations on cardiology inpatients.
  • Evaluate and manage patients with conditions including but not limited to:
    • Acute coronary syndromes
    • Decompensated heart failure
    • Arrhythmias and electrophysiologic disorders
    • Valvular heart disease
    • Pericardial disease
    • Hypertensive emergencies
  • Develop and implement evidence-based management plans.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic studies (labs, ECGs, echocardiograms, stress tests, cardiac imaging).
  • Initiate and titrate cardiovascular medications.
  • Perform daily rounds and document progress notes.
  • Provide discharge planning, medication reconciliation, and follow-up coordination.

Qualifications:

  • Degree: minimum of a Master of Science in Nursing (MSN), a Doctor of Physician Assistant (DPA) is preferred
