At Konza Prairie Community Health Center, we believe oral health is an essential part of whole-person care. We’re looking for a compassionate and motivated Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) to join our growing dental team and help provide high-quality, patient-centered care to the communities we serve.


Whether you’re seeking full-time or part-time opportunities, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful impact through preventive care, patient education, and clinical excellence. You’ll work closely with our dentists and support team to create a positive experience for every patient while helping improve access to care across our community.


Schedule & Perks: Monday–Friday | Clinics close at 2:00 PM every Friday

 Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform patient screenings including oral health assessments, health history review, oral cancer screenings, head and neck inspections, charting, and vital signs 
  • Complete dental radiographs (x-rays) and assist with development and review 
  • Remove calculus and plaque from tooth surfaces through preventive hygiene care 
  • Apply sealants, fluoride treatments, and other preventive materials 
  • Administer nitrous oxide sedation and local anesthesia as permitted 
  • Document existing restorations and identify areas of concern for dentist evaluation 
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene, brushing, flossing, nutrition, and tobacco cessation 
  • Maintain infection control standards and sterilization procedures following universal precautions 
  • Assist with impressions for study casts and other clinical support as needed 
  • Maintain accurate patient documentation and support administrative workflow

Requirements

  • Current Registered Dental Hygienist (RDH) license in Kansas 
  • Strong knowledge of dental hygiene procedures, radiology, and infection control standards 
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current CPR certification 
  • Experience working in a community health or public health setting 
  • Bilingual (Spanish) preferred
