The Archdiocese of Chicago, the third largest in the United States, serves more than 2.2 million Catholics in 216 parishes in Cook County and Lake County, a geographic area of 1,411 square miles. The Archdiocese, pastored by Cardinal Blase J. Its schools have received 96 U.S. Department of
Education Blue Ribbon Awards.

Integrated Platform Management

  • Oversee and curate content across all major platforms (website, email, social media, video, print, digital signage, etc.) to ensure clarity, consistency, and excellence
  • Ensure communication platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, website, social media) work together as a cohesive ecosystem, not isolated tools
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Newman Center’s website as a primary point of evangelization, information, and donor engagement

Evangelization & Student Engagement

  • Strategically communicate opportunities for students to encounter Christ, build community, and grow in discipleship
  • Collaborate with campus ministry staff to ensure programs are clearly explained, compellingly presented, and appropriately targeted

    • Annual appeals
    • Alumni communication and engagement
    • Stewardship reporting
    • Capital or special campaigns
  • Ensure donors and stakeholders receive consistent, mission-centered communication that demonstrates impact, transparency, and gratitude

Archdiocesan & Parish Outreach

  • Identify and implement strategic opportunities to communicate the Newman Center’s mission beyond campus, especially within parishes of the Archdiocese of Chicago
  • Serve as a bridge between campus ministry and the wider Church, strengthening understanding and support of Newman Center work

Requirements
Required

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • At least 8 years in marketing, communications, media, or related field
  • Strong understanding of and commitment to the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church
