Position Overview:
As a CAD Technician you will be responsible for preparing fabrication and installation drawings of underground storage systems and other structures to be fabricated using Lane’s pipe products.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Develop standard product drawings for internal and external use
- Prepare and coordinate drawing submittals under the direction of the Sales Representative and/or Engineer
- Evaluate underground storage system configurations for more cost-effective layout and increased ease of fabrication
- Prepare drawings for special projects from concept to fabrication
- Review engineering drawings prior to release
- Perform accurate take offs from plans/drawings
- Assist with quote development
- Maintain thorough knowledge of Lane’s products, product information, and specifications
- Active participant in CAD workload group to workshare across the company
- Position reports to Plant Manager
- Must be able to interact with multiple entities inside and outside the organization (i.e. Sales Representatives, Engineers, Contractors, and other CAD Technicians
Requirements
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 Years of CAD design and drafting experience
- Proficient in AutoCAD
- Knowledge of design and engineering principles (i.e. ability to read plan drawings)
- Highly detail-oriented
- Strong analytical and organizational skills
- Associate degree or equivalent
- Must be able to pass physical and drug test
