    The North Plainfield School District, a diverse and welcoming school community in Somerset County serving approximately 3,700 students from Pre-K through grade 12, is seeking a caring, organized, and community-focused professional for the position of Community and Parent Involvement Specialist. This role will support our preschool and early childhood programs by strengthening connections between families, schools, and community resources.

    This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact by helping families access supports, increasing parent engagement, and ensuring students and caregivers feel welcomed and connected to the school community. The successful candidate will also assist with enrollment, attendance support, outreach efforts, and family communication.

    Qualifications Include:

    • Valid New Jersey Instructional Certificate in School Social Work, School Psychology, or School Counseling
    • Minimum of three (3) years successful experience providing human and/or educational services
    • Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents, and school personnel in both English and Spanish
    • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage records, systems, and multiple responsibilities
    • Experience working with diverse families and connecting them to community resources
    • Ability to analyze data related to attendance, family needs, and enrollment trends
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills with families, staff, and community partners
    • Must hold (or be willing to obtain) Notary Public certification
    • Required criminal history background check and residency requirements as applicable

    Salary: $69,630 (minimum) to $103,470 (maximum) commensurate with experience, pending negotiated agreement.
