As a Lead Technician - Structured cabling, you will play a crucial role in the design, installation, and maintenance of structured cabling systems for our clients. You will lead a team of technicians and oversee the planning and execution of cabling projects, ensuring adherence to industry standards and best practices. Your expertise in structured cabling, along with your leadership abilities, will contribute to the successful delivery of high-quality solutions that meet our clients' requirements.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Lead a team of structured cabling technicians in the installation, termination, and testing of copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project plans and timelines.
- Conduct site surveys and assess requirements for cabling projects.
- Document structured cabling systems based on industry standards and client specifications.
- Install, terminate, and test copper and fiber optic cables, connectors, and related components.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with cabling systems, including signal quality, connectivity, and performance.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, regulations, and safety guidelines.
- Provide technical guidance and training to junior technicians.
- Maintain accurate documentation of cabling installations, including labeling, diagrams, and test results.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate cabling systems with other network infrastructure components.
- Other duties as required.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in structured cabling installation and maintenance.
- In-depth knowledge of industry standards and best practices for copper and fiber optic cabling systems.
- Experience leading and managing a team of cabling technicians.
- Proficiency in interpreting technical drawings, blueprints, and diagrams.
- Familiarity with testing equipment and tools used in structured cabling (e.g., Fluke testers).
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to client sites as required.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Relevant certifications such as BICSI (RCDD/Technician), CFOT (Certified Fiber Optic Technician), or specific manufacturer-authorized training (e.g., Corning, CommScope, Belden) are a plus.
