Under the direction of the Owner & Executive Director; Clinical Director is responsible for overseeing, supervising and training BCBA(s), Case Supervisor(s) and Behavior Technician(s) and supporting them with utilizing appropriate ABA techniques and applying them to increase the client’s daily functional skills. Clinical Director is also responsible for establishing timelines for realistic growth opportunities in the areas of behavior management, communication skills, community use, functional academics, functional pre-academics, home living skills, leisure exploration, self-care skills, self-direction, social skills, and vocational skills.
Clinical Director is responsible for ensuring treatment fidelity across all cases supervised, this includes Functional Behavior Assessments (FBA) and Behavior Intervention Plans frequent review and ensuring that the plans are carried out accordingly.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND FUNCTIONS:
- Responsible for the implementation, oversight and quality of all clinical services for the agency, including quality assurance and standardization of clinical models and programs
- Responsible for ensuring standardized implementation of clinical policies and procedures across the agency
- Responsible for the implementation and ongoing enhancement of all clinical training and supervision programs; includes new staff orientation and coordination of shadowing/hands on training
- Collaborates with the Owner/Executive Director to develop growth, contract fulfillment, and staff efficiency initiatives and projections
- Establishes and maintains relationships with funding sources, business contacts, and clinicians as it relates to clinical services
- Establishes and maintains a community presence specific to behavior analytic and related associations
- Responsible for teaching and maintaining ethical behavior within the agency
- Maintain compliance and train agency-wide on the standards set forth by the BACB.
- Step in for BCBA and/or Case Supervisors, as needed
- Develop and implement positive behavior plans and strategies specific to the setting in which therapy is occurring
- Implement audit and evaluation tools to assess clinical services
- Provide a minimum of 2 hours of supervision, per BCBA/Case Supervisor on a monthly basis, with 1 hour dedicated to direct observation of the supervisor performing behavioral analytic work; review program effectiveness, make recommendations, monitor data collection, chart progress and provide parent coaching
- Conduct initial assessment and provide progress reports, as needed.
- Conduct annual review of new hire orientation and training materials and revise according to most recent research
- Participate in quarterly staff evaluation and performance feedback sessions
- Update online file sharing with relevant clinical tools (e.g. data collection sheets, assessment material, etc.)
- Responsible for meeting billable hour requirements set forth to provide efficient and effective services
- Maintain accurate documentation
Office Hours: minimum 3 days per week; office dependent on location
Qualifications
Credentials:
- Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- MA/MS in Special Education, ABA or related field
Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years as a practicing Board Certified Behavior Analyst
- Minimum of 5 years of supervisor experience specific to assessment and implementation of behavior analytic treatment plans
- Minimum of 2 years of supervisor experience specific to clinical supervision, training and oversight of Board Certified Behavior Analysts
- Demonstrated leadership skills including, but not limited to, effective communication, creation and maintenance of a positive and engaging company culture and solution- oriented problem solving
- Strong working knowledge of behavior analytic assessment, data analysis, program design, and treatment implementation
- Strong networking skills demonstrated by community involvement specific to behavior analysis, education, and/or autism services
- Experience developing and implementing systematic clinical and compliance training programs for both small and large groups
