Position Objective

The Government Account Manager – Strategic Partners is senior level sales position within the Government Sales and Marketing Team. The position will be responsible for developing/maintaining teaming partner relationships and executing sales engagements to increase revenue for all Konica Minolta offerings in the Federal and the State, Local and Education verticals.

Essential Job Functions

  • Meet/Exceed assigned targets for named partner business performance
  • Relationship development with partner business unit leadership
  • Lead quarterly/semi-annual business reviews with named partners
  • Identify areas of business risk and growth opportunities named partners
  • Develop business strategies with named partners to build revenue growth and alignment
  • Subject matter expert on strategic partner best practices for internal sales teams
  • Provide sales engagement and implementation support to internal sales teams
  • Assist Contracts Team and or business unit in SOW development for partner opportunities
  • Interface with cross-functional teams from various Konica Minolta departments, including but not limited to: Government Sales and Marketing, Contracts Team, Legal, Credit, Finance, Service, Marketing, Risk Management, channel and divisional leadership and subsidiaries
  • Subject matter expert on diversity certifications and requirements for the Federal vertical and select states in both sales channels
  • Maintain thorough understanding of named partner and Konica Minolta contract portfolios

Competencies (Knowledge, Skills and Abilities)

  • Advanced communication and presentation skills
  • Experience in conflict resolution
  • Ability to develop strong business relationships across multiple company levels
  • Effective leadership of cross-functional teams
  • Experience in managing projects and timelines
  • Ability develop sales and operational strategy
  • Understanding of working with partners in both a prime and subcontract role

Experience, Educational Reqts and Certifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience (prior industry experience)
  • Proven experience working teaming partnerships in a prime and subcontractor role
  • 5+ years of experience in business-to-government sales
  • Proven sales experience in IT/Managed Services
