The Team Member will be responsible for inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals and maintains work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives. When:
- Monday to Friday: 7:00am to 4:30pm
- Every Saturday: 7:30am to 11:30am
Role Expectations:
- Interact with customers to accept ferrous and non-ferrous scrap materials
- Performs the inspecting, grading, sorting and processing of ferrous and/or non-ferrous scrap metals.
- Use computer system to input non-ferrous material codes and weight.
- Completes yard tickets and provides ticket to customer.
- Maintains work location in orderly condition in order to achieve operational goals and objectives.
- Operates counterbalance forklift and/or skid steer in accordance with operation policies and procedures ensuring efficient material movement
- Process materials by breaking them down by commodity and removing all non-conforming material.
- Provides exceptional customer service.
- The successful applicant will be subject a criminal background check.
Qualifications:
- 1 year of experience working in a production, warehouse or landscaping environment
- 1 year of experience operating fork lift or skid-steer (bob-cat), preferred but not required
