Job Description

Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate School Psychologist to join our team at Central Office. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the mental health and educational success of our students. This full-time position requires collaboration with educators, parents, and community resources to create a safe and supportive learning environment. The School Psychologist will assess student needs, provide counseling, and develop strategies to enhance student well-being and academic performance.

Responsibilities
- Conduct psychological assessments to evaluate students' cognitive, emotional, and behavioral needs.
- Provide individual and group counseling to students facing academic, social, or emotional challenges.
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and parents to develop and implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies.
- Offer crisis intervention and support during emergencies or traumatic events.
- Develop and deliver training workshops for staff and parents on mental health topics and effective strategies for supporting students.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and make necessary adjustments.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss student progress and develop comprehensive support plans.
- Maintain accurate and confidential records of assessments, interventions, and student progress.
- Stay informed about current research and best practices in school psychology and mental health.

Requirements
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in School Psychology or related field.
- Valid state certification or licensure as a School Psychologist.
- Strong knowledge of psychological assessment tools and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
- Experience working in a school setting preferred.
- Ability to handle sensitive situations with empathy and professionalism.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with educational and psychological practices.
