About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, mechanically inclined Service Technician to join our team! Under the direction of the Regional Equipment Manager, you will be responsible for supporting, maintaining, and repairing industrial equipment both in our regional shop and at customer job sites.

This is a great opportunity for someone with a strong work ethic, mechanical aptitude, and a desire to grow within a fast-paced, safety-focused environment.


What You'll Do

  • Load, transport, and inspect equipment for jobs and returns

  • Perform routine and high-voltage equipment maintenance

  • Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues

  • Replace defective parts and complete preventative maintenance

  • Prepare detailed maintenance and repair reports

  • Operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and shop tools

  • Recommend appropriate equipment to customers when needed

  • Ensure all equipment meets client safety regulations

  • Provide technical support to internal teams and clients

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment

  • Cross-train on various heat treatment equipment

  • Support other departments as needed


What We’re Looking For

Skills & Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude with small electronics and machinery

  • Understanding of blueprints, diagrams, and schematics (preferred)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Basic computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.)

  • Able to troubleshoot and make decisions independently

  • Willingness to mentor and work collaboratively

Experience:

  • 1+ year of experience in a technical or mechanical role

  • Familiarity with power generation or welding equipment (a plus)

  • Industrial mechanical and electrical experience preferred

Education & Certifications:

  • Technical training or post-secondary education is a plus

  • TWIC, OSHA 10, NFPA 70E, First Aid, Forklift certifications (preferred or willing to obtain)


Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record

  • Ability to pass background checks for client sites

  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Physical ability to lift up to 51 lbs, bend, twist, and use hand tools regularly
