Job Description
Banco Sabadell is seeking a Trade Finance Specialist to join a dynamic team within one of the fastest growing banks in Florida.
Responsibilities
- For assigned transactions support GTSC loan/facility closing and renewals and co-ordinate with all related parties the necessary steps to ensure an efficient and accurate closing process.
• Ensure that all processes and Bank policies for GTSC facility closing are adhered to and all procedures are followed in a timely manner.
• Co-ordinate and interact with all CIB colleagues, Risk and Credit Administration Department, Brokers, Clients, Agents etc. for an efficient closing process;
• Validate the executed loan documents, review the proper execution of all documents by authorized signors prior to submission to credit admiration
• Ensure client has paid all fees and all closing contingencies have been cleared prior to closing; Review Exim Policy / Other ECAs Policy to ensure all T&C are accurate
• Coordinate with clients the information/documentation required to close the transaction and review, validate and prepare the legal files
• Ensure that proper loan documentation including, corporate documents, powers of the signors and guarantors is received and verified in the applicable debt instrument
• Negotiate with trade credit underwriters the trade credit insurance policies, monitor the utilization and compliance of the terms and conditions of such policies and process payments of insurance premiums
• Preparation of periodic information reports for monitoring and management of the GTSC portfolio.
• Capability to develop, implement and update procedures guidelines, checklists and other required processes necessary for the implementation of GTSC products
• Process payment of Legal Fees to external counsel, activation fee for Exim Bank Policy, shared arrangement fees to finders, credit report providers, etc. and provide payment confirmation to vendor
Requirements
- + 5 years experience in international trade finance, Letters of Credit and Documentary Collections transactions.
- Bachelors degree in Business, Economics, Finance or related field required.
- Comprehensive knowledge of Latin American and emerging markets and familiar with international trade regulation and practices specifically ICC and UCP.
- Minimum of 2 years experience in Eximbank and other ECA related credit facilities and corresponding loan documentation and processes.
- Strong operational and financial management skills.
- Must be bilingual (English & Spanish).
