Job Summary: Our company is looking for an experienced General Manager to plan and oversee daily operations of the organization to ensure goals and objectives are achieved.  The General Manager is a critical leadership role that is a culture champion for safety, diversity, development, and customer experience.  

Duties/Responsibilities: 

  • Partner with the leadership team to create an environment that fosters ownership, creativity, and constructive communication.  
  • Develop and maintain relationships with HRBP’s on all matters concerning the overall morale and welfare of the employees.  
  • Proactively lead and oversee all aspects of change management to ensure organizational growth through all levels within the building.  
  • Ensure that departments meet or exceed performance requirements in the areas of safety, shortage, cost control, quality, processing standards, flexibility, reliability, customer service, and execution to plan.  
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory control and ensure warehouse capacity is optimized 
  • Interfaces with IT as a user on systems development and refinement to improve operations, productivity, and service levels.  
  • Manage, evaluate, mentor, and develop Ops Managers by identifying training and development needs and opportunities for growth. Additionally, ensure all training and development is streamlined and fully effective for all levels.  
  • Develop, drive, and implement the business plan through building leadership to achieve facility goals (production, quality, safety, and operational improvements). 
  • Manage all financial aspects and expenses for the facility.  
  • Plan and manage building staffing, workload, and performance to meet business demands. 
  • Assist our organization in maintaining customer relationships, improving serviceensuring sustainability, and meeting business objectives 
  • Proactively works to assist others in achieving the organization's objectives 

Required Skills/Abilities: 

  • Exceptional leadership, mentoring, and coaching skills.  
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including day, evening, weekends, and/or holidays. 
  • Experience using a warehouse management system, WMS, or ERP (preferred). 
  • Ability to interact professionally with customers and key stakeholders.  
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. 
  • Superior knowledge of business functions.  
  • Proven record of fostering high-performance teams.  

Education and Experience 

  • Bachelor's Degree from a 4-year college or university preferred.  
  • 5-7 years of related experience required. 
  • Business and intellectual competencies include industry understanding of warehouse management, negotiation skill, strategic and tactical planning skill, problem analysis skill, staff development skill, written and oral communication skills, and creativity.  
  • Bilingual in Spanish is preferred but not required. 

Physical Requirements: 

  • Must be able to stand for long periods. 
  • Must be able to access and navigate the production facility. 
  • Must be able to lift 15 pounds at a time.
