The Regional Security Pastor at Christ’s Church of the Valley (CCV) is a full-time ministry leader responsible for owning, leading, and advancing safety and security operations across an assigned region of campuses. This role sets the tone for a safe, prepared, and welcoming worship environment by providing strategic leadership, pastoral presence, and operational oversight for campus security efforts.
The Regional Security Pastor directs weekend security operations, leads and develops volunteer teams, partners with campus pastors and staff, and drives execution of CCV’s centralized security strategy at the regional level. This position blends pastoral care, leadership, and professional security expertise to protect people, steward ministry spaces, and reinforce CCV’s culture of excellence and service.
Job Description:Key Responsibilities
Regional Security Leadership
- Provide overall leadership and accountability for safety and security operations within the assigned region.
- Serve as the primary regional owner for security readiness, consistency, and execution.
- Partner closely with Campus Pastors, Operations Directors, and ministry leaders to integrate safety into all aspects of campus life.
- Represent the Security Ministry as a trusted leader and pastoral presence
Weekend Campus Security Operations
- Lead and oversee on-site security operations during weekend services, special events, and high-attendance gatherings.
- Maintain a visible, calm, and confident presence that promotes both safety and hospitality.
- Serve as the lead incident commander for security-related situations during assigned coverage.
- Ensure emergency procedures, policies, and safety standards are consistently followed across services and campuses.
Volunteer Leadership & Development
- Recruit, lead, coach, and pastor Safety & Security Volunteers across the region.
- Establish clear expectations, roles, and standards for volunteer teams.
- Invest intentionally in volunteer development through training, feedback, encouragement, and spiritual leadership.
- Build strong, unified teams that reflect CCV’s servant leadership culture
Incident Response & Emergency Preparedness
- Lead response to medical emergencies, behavioral disruptions, facility issues, and critical incidents.
- Execute emergency action plans and coordinate response efforts with staff, volunteers, and external responders.
- Provide decisive leadership while maintaining composure, compassion, and professionalism.
- Deliver clear communication and post-incident follow-up to the Security Director and campus leadership.
Central Safety & Security Projects
- Translate CCV-wide safety strategies into consistent regional execution.
- Lead implementation of new policies, procedures, and initiatives at the campus level.
- Contribute insights, feedback, and recommendations that shape future security strategy.
- Participate in planning and leadership meetings as a key stakeholder in organizational safety decisions
Security Systems & Technology Oversight
- Oversee effective use of security technology including surveillance systems, radios, access control, alarms, and mass notification tools.
- Ensure systems are used consistently and responsibly across campuses.
- Identify risks, gaps, and opportunities for improvement in technology and procedures.
Law Enforcement & External Coordination

Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice, Public Administration, Ministry, or a related field preferred but not required.
- Significant experience in law enforcement, military service, or professional security operations strongly preferred.
- Experience leading teams and managing operations required.
- Minimum age of 21 and ability to pass a comprehensive background check.
- Firearms training and qualification required or maintained per CCV policy.
- Physically able to perform active security duties including standing, walking, lifting, and rapid response.
