Job Description
Internal Medicine Practice in Plano, Texas is looking for an experienced Medical Receptionist for Check In/Out. Must have a minimum of 1 years’ experience as a medical receptionist in a medical office setting. Experience with eClinical Works or another electronic medical records systems is very helpful. We are searching for an applicant with outstanding customer services skills, who can multi-task, is detail oriented, and who is self-motivated and works well with others. 

Job Type: Part-time – Monday to Friday

 
·      Greets, interviews patients and completes all paperwork necessary to ensure the check in/out process is efficient and all clinic and regulatory policies are in compliance.
·      Answer phone calls and directs them appropriately
·      Schedules appointments according to office guidelines 
·      Ability to perform Online verification of benefits 
·      Obtain accurate patient and insurance information, collecting co-pays and deductible amounts
·      Prepares charts for patient appointments making sure all necessary information is complete
·      Ability to conduct all functions associated with patient check-out including pricing services, collecting patient responsibility payments and scheduling follow-up appointments.
·      Performs duties involving record filing and retrieval and assisting with the filing of registration documentation in electronic medical records.
·      Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Experience 

 
·      High school diploma or equivalent.
·      Healthcare experience preferred.
