Job Description

Description: The Committee shall advise the Mayor on trail planning and allocating funds for trail improvements projects from funding allocations made by the Federal Highway Administration's (FHWA) National Recreational Trails Fund Act.

Qualifications:   The Committee shall consist of not less that 7 members including Chairperson and Vice Chairperson who shall serve at the pleasure of the Mayor.  The members are recommended by recreational trail user organizations, one each representing the following recreational trail uses:

Non-motorized recreational trail users

Off-road motorized recreational trail users

  • An official of government with a background in science or natural resources management; and
  • The Ex officio member is the Director of the Department of Transportation or his or her designee.
