- Minimum of a masters degree in a counseling or related discipline required
- License in a mental health discipline is required (LCSW, LPC, LMFT or psychology license)
- Those with provisional licenses may be considered if a qualified supervisor is available
- Previous school counseling and or clinical experience preferred
- Knowledge of HIPPA and FERPA laws and regulations
- Ability to conduct risk assessments and generate appropriate community referrals
- Clear criminal history background check, physical and PTT
- Proof of US citizenship or legal resident alien status
- Maintain productive relationships with parents and other staff members
- Maintain records of students' progress
- Maintain professional competence and pursue continuous improvement through in-service education and other professional growth activities
- Participate in school-level planning, faculty meetings/committees, and other school system groups
- Make effective use of community engagement
- Assume other related duties/assignments assigned by the Superintendent or Director of Special Services.

Responsibilities
Responsibilities include coordinating with the team of school clinicians to develop and provide preventive activities. School clinicians will provide assessments, treatments, psychotherapy, clinical case management, and referrals to a broad range of students, including those, which are severely mentally ill, and those dealing with adjustment issues. Individual, family, and group therapy are available forms of treatment provided. Additionally, the licensed clinician will provide case management services and crisis intervention as needed. All services are provided in accordance with professional code of ethics.
