    JOB SUMMARY

    This position is Federally funded until September 29, 2026 as part of the Project AWARE grant. We are seeking assistance to help TCSD with the finalizing and closing of our Project AWARE grant.  Applicant's primary responsibility is the AWARE grant management and oversight of the corresponding services within the grant within Tooele District schools.  Reports to the Counseling and Mental Health Services Director.

    ESSENTIAL JOB OVERSIGHT FUNCTIONS

    • Coordinate AWARE grant information and reporting requirements.
    • Monitors and operates within the programs defined resources.
    • Provides technical assistance to district grant participants.
    • Maintains overall responsibility for services provided in the AWARE project.
    • Works cooperatively across the system and maintains effective working relationships with community and agency partners.
    • Maintains knowledge of department policies, regulatory requirements, and standards of care.
    • Demonstrates use of logical and appropriate judgment when handling difficult situations.
    • Acts as administrative and operations resource to all AWARE district participants.
    • Establishes and monitors the annual AWARE grant budget.
    • Participates in relevant meetings, trainings, and collaborative activities as required.
    • Collects data for reporting purposes.
    • Coordinates mental health curriculum purchasing and training per the AWARE Grant.

    QUALIFICATIONS

    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college/university in Public Health, School Social Work, Clinical Counseling, School Psychologist, School Counselor, Admin, Teaching or a related field.
    • Experience working in a K12 public school setting.
    • Experience managing employees successfully and/or demonstrated success in leading teams and projects effectively.
    • Project management experience is desired.
    • Demonstrated ability to manage budgets effectively.
    • Ability to work well independently and within a team environment.
    • High attention to detail, ability to prioritize effectively, and the ability to creatively problem solve.
    • Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
    • Knowledge of AWARE Grant preferred.
