Certified Nursing Assistant - Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing

CNA - Positions available in both Assisted Living and Skilled Nursing

GENERAL SUMMARY:

In Skilled Nursing, a CNA assists the licensed nursing staff by performing routine nursing duties and activities of daily living. The CNA is responsible for aiding the professional staff. Delivers direct care to patients (bathing, toileting, feeding, grooming, etc.) as directed by the RN or LVN in charge. Always maintains patient comfort and safety. Follows all departmental policies and procedures as well as safety, environmental, and infection control standards. Adheres to the facility�s Core Values and mission with complete regard for the dignity of each person.

Full Time: Rotating 4 days on 2 Days off 7:00am - 3:00pm

    • $26-$28/hr. based on experience

    In Assisted Living, a CNA, assists residents with dressing, grooming, eating, bathing, positioning, turning, toileting, and exercising. You may assist residents with transfers, transports, and escorts as needed. You will keep rooms safe and orderly, this may include changing bed linens and making beds. The CNA takes a holistic approach to meet resident needs including assisting with meal service in the dining room, maintain clean and organized living space and engaging the resident in activities that enrich their lives. As a CNA, you are required to work in Skilled Nursing when needed.

    Part Time - AM (6AM-2PM) Friday - Monday

    Full Time - NOC (10PM-6AM) Tuesday - Saturday

    PRINCIPLE DUTIES:

    • The CNA performs personal care services, within the framework of the individual resident�s activities of daily living and functional abilities.
    • The CNA documents all information pertaining to each assigned resident on each shift accurately and timely. Meal percentages, intake and out put recordings will be documented and reported accurately to the responsible charge nurse every shift. Responsible for reporting any significant changes in resident condition, incident/accidents, injuries and/or skin integrity issues noted, immediately to the charge nurse. Responsible for transportation of their respective residents to and from activities, meals and therapy as indicated.
    • The CNA participates in all required/mandatory in-services; as well any additionally offered in-service programs as evidenced by their full knowledge of all required policies/procedures and ability to perform their job duties accurately and timely. Meets all state requirements for recertification, completes and submits all required documentation to the state to ensure timely certification renewal. Works as a team player, as evidenced by consistently assisting other staff members when help is needed.
    • Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

    What you will bring

    Our ideal candidate will be reliable and follow safety procedures and duties assigned by a supervisor.

    • Successful completion of Certified Nursing Assistant Competency Program, with current certification in the state of California.
    • Experience with customer service is highly preferred.
    • Required strong communication skills and the ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
    • Ability to work in a heath care and CCRC environment.
    • Legally Authorized to work in the United States
