Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Make Ready Technician to join our team. The Make Ready Technician is responsible for preparing vacant apartments for new residents and ensuring they meet our high standards of quality and cleanliness. This role is critical in ensuring our properties are move-in ready and contribute to a positive first impression for our residents.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and identify necessary repairs and improvements in vacant units.
  • Perform general maintenance tasks including painting, drywall repair, fixture installation, and minor plumbing and electrical repairs.
  • Ensure all units are clean and presentable for new tenants.
  • Coordinate with vendors and contractors for specialized repairs and improvements.
  • Maintain inventory of supplies and report any shortages to the Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Ensure compliance with all safety and operational policies and procedures.
  • Assist with other maintenance tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Proven experience as a maintenance technician or similar role.
  • Basic knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general carpentry.
  • Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Physical ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform other physically demanding tasks.
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
