POSITION:

Senior Piping Designer

LOCATION:

Lake Charles

I. SUMMARY OF POSITION:

• The Sr. Piping Designer supervises Piping Designers and Technicians for all phases of the piping design scope.

II. RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Provides Piping Design Leads with the correct resources to ensure quality and timeliness of deliverables.
• Reviews work of Piping Design Leads to ensure quality and requirements are met.
• Piping Designer assists in planning schedules and workforce requirements for projects.
• Mastered plant layout and design
• Maintains and promotes a focus on Polaris's products, whether engineering, fabrication, or construction.
• Piping Designer ensures effective communications among other engineering disciplines and effective change management.
• The individual in this role assumes responsibility for cost, schedule, quantity, and budget control.

III. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

• Sr. Piping Designer has ten years of experience in piping design for Refining, Gas Processing, or LNG projects.
• The individual should have mastered current piping design, drafting responsibilities, and software packages.
• The candidate demonstrates a broad technical knowledge of design concepts and systems.
• Seven years of AutoCAD experience is required.
• Typically has 8+ years of progressive experience in plant layout, piping design, design modeling, and drafting as a Design Lead
• High School diploma required.
• College or associate degree preferred.
• Available for short-term travel

IV. REPORTING REQUIREMENTS:

• Reports to the Design Coordinator

V. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

· Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

· Must be able to lift to 15 pounds at times.
