We are seeking a Lead PCA to help oversee daily personal care services, staff coordination, and documentation compliance. This position plays an important role in ensuring residents receive quality care while supporting PCA staff and coordinating with nursing and case management teams.


Daily Responsibilities

  • Monitor and respond to emails; track MLTC billing windows and authorization dates

  • Confirm CHHA skilled nursing encounters within 48 hours

  • Track MLTC authorizations for billing

  • Supervise PCAs to ensure proper care implementation and timely completion of timesheets

  • Review and file End-of-Shift Reports (LPN and PCA)

  • Educate residents who decline services on the benefits of approved care

  • Collaborate with Case Manager regarding resident care needs

  • Enter new residents and assessments into HCM system

  • Mark completed assessments and assign care shifts accordingly


Weekly Responsibilities

  • Confirm PCA care from duty sheets in HCM and prepare documentation for billing

  • Print weekly duty sheets for residents receiving services

  • Create weekly PCA schedules (Wednesdays)

    • ALR: Schedule care shifts in HCM based on authorization and care plans

    • ALP: Cluster care on paper calendars (15-minute increments)

  • Complete CHHA Daily Reports


Monthly Responsibilities

  • Create RN schedule and assign tasks in HCM (3rd week of each month), including:

    • UAS Recertifications (every 6 months)

    • OASIS Recertifications (every 2 months)

    • RN Recertifications (every 6 months)

    • Aide Supervisions (every 3 months for residents with PCA services)

  • Create LPN schedules (3rd week of the month) and assign skilled nursing care per care plan in HCM

  • Assist with onboarding new PCAs

  • Ensure LHCSA staff documentation compliance

  • Conduct PCA in-service trainings


Qualifications

  • PCA, HHA, or healthcare supervisory experience preferred

  • Strong organizational and communication skills

  • Experience with scheduling, documentation, and care coordination preferred

  • Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and case managers


Competitive Pay: $18–$20/hour
