Your new adventure

This role provides senior technical, operational, and administrative support to the global ROTAX Aircraft Engines service network, aircraft manufacturers, maintenance organizations, distributors, and external/internal stakeholders, covering the full engine lifecycle from development to end-of-life while ensuring reliability, regulatory compliance, and customer satisfaction. It acts as a key technical and customer experience (CX) interface by managing complex escalations and campaigns, coordinating cross‑functional initiatives, maintaining and auditing the service network, overseeing training systems, supporting the technical documentation creation processes and supporting strategic projects with OEMs, global partners, and aviation authorities.

  • Technical Publications & Change Management: create/revise IPCs/service documents and manuals, manage for the department the engineering change requests and initial sample releases, set-up service bill of material (BOM) structures, configurations, and service parts, while supporting new product introductions.

  • Technical Expertise & Service Strategy: Provide expert engine support, lead complex troubleshooting and escalations, contribute field insights to new product development (NPD) and research&development (R&D), and manage special service tooling lifecycles and digitalization of our products, services and maintenance diagnostics.

  • Operational Excellence & Training: Optimize processes, reduce complexity, develop end‑of‑life and spare‑parts strategies, and lead technical training systems including our global training standard and central training content.

  • Network Management & Quality: Audit and assess distributors, monitor performance metrics, implement corrective actions, and provide continuous technical, quality and operational guidance across the service network.

  • Customer Experience (CX), Regulatory & Cross‑Functional Collaboration: Support distributors, OEMs and customers, assist the interface with aviation authorities, ensure regulatory compliance, and drive continuous improvement with Sales, After Sales, R&D, Quality, Production, Manufacturing and Airworthiness teams.

 

Your skills and experiences

  • Completed, relevant technical education (HTL, FH, University), preferably aeronautical / aviation engineering

  • Strong technical knowledge of internal combustion and aircraft engines and complex mechanical systems, their technology, application and maintenance diagnosis

  • Solid understanding of airworthiness, certification requirements, and regulatory frameworks (e.g. EASA, FAA or equivalents)

  • Experience with technical documentation (IPC, service documents, manuals, ….)

  • Confident use of the common MS Office/CAD/mechantronic design programs

  • SAP/Salesforce knowledge is an asset

  • Fluency in English

  • German is a strong asset for the position

  • Excellent teamwork, project coordination skills and a customer and solution-oriented way of working

  • Good perception and communication skills

  • As part of our commitment to your development, we support pilot training and provide opportunities to gain valuable flight experience on the aircraft in collaboration with a local flying club close to our location. 

     

We offer

The minimum salary for this position is EUR 53,240.98 gross/year in accordance with the collective agreement for the metal industry. Depending on your qualifications and professional experience, we offer an attractive and performance-related salary with corresponding overpayment.
