Location: Camp Smith, HI (Honolulu Area)
Clearance: Active DoD TS/SCI (or eligible)
Company: JMark Services, Inc.

Position Overview

JMark Services is seeking a Senior Planning Support Specialist to support the U.S. Marine Forces Pacific (MARFORPAC) G-5 Plans Directorate. This role is mission-critical to the execution of deliberate planning and daily operational battle rhythm activities across the Indo-Pacific theater.

You will serve as a key enabler within the Joint Planning and Execution Community (JPEC), ensuring planning actions are synchronized, staffed, and delivered as decision-ready products to senior leadership. This is a high-visibility, high-impact role for a professional who thrives in structured, deadline-driven environments and understands how to move planning efforts from tasking to execution.

What You’ll Do

You won’t just support planning—you’ll drive it forward with precision and accountability.

  • Lead execution of planning support across operational, campaign, functional, and posture planning efforts
  • Synchronize inputs across U.S. Indo-Pacific Command, HQMC, MARFORPAC staff, MEFs, and adjacent commands
  • Manage tasking pipelines, suspense dates, and staffing workflows to ensure zero-drop execution
  • Facilitate Operational Planning Teams (OPTs) and working groups (prep, execution, and closeout)
  • Develop and refine executive-level deliverables including briefings, information papers, and planning documents
  • Ensure all products meet senior leader standards for clarity, formatting, and decision-readiness
  • Maintain version control and auditable coordination records across planning cycles
  • Support posture and program-based planning initiatives through structured coordination and tracking
  • Mentor junior staff on planning discipline, product quality, and battle rhythm execution

What You Bring

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) in a relevant field
  • Completion of Professional Military Education (PME), including:
    • Career-level school (e.g., Expeditionary Warfare School or equivalent)
    • Intermediate Level School (ILS) (e.g., Command and Staff College or equivalent)
  • 7+ years of experience supporting military, joint, or federal planning environments
  • Strong experience producing and editing executive-level staff products
  • Working knowledge and application of:
    • Marine Corps Planning Process (MCPP)
    • Joint Planning Process (JPP)
  • Familiarity with JPEC forums (e.g., OPTs, joint planning groups)
  • Ability to meet government workplace requirements and maintain required access

Preferred Qualifications

  • Advanced Intermediate Level School (A-ILS) (e.g., SAMS, SAASS, JAWS, MAWS)
  • PMP or similar professional certification
  • Prior MOS experience (e.g., USMC 0507, 0505, 0502, 0511 or equivalent)
  • Experience supporting or working within MARFORPAC, USINDOPACOM, HQMC, MEF HQ, or other Combatant Commands

Core Competencies

This role requires someone who operates like a conductor in controlled chaos.

  • Precision execution and suspense management
  • Cross-functional coordination in high-tempo environments
  • Clear, concise writing with the ability to synthesize complex inputs
  • Strong attention to detail and formatting discipline
  • Sound judgment in identifying and escalating risks or conflicts

Ownership & Impact

You will own the execution lane.

  • Lead day-to-day planning support operations and battle rhythm execution
  • Determine task sequencing and coordination strategies within established frameworks
  • Escalate conflicts, risks, and competing priorities to government leadership as needed
  • Deliver fully staffed, on-time, decision-ready products that directly support mission success
