Baker - Press Cafe
Press Cafe is searching for a Baker who can help prepare our unique menu of pastries and foods per our standard recipes at our new location. The Press Cafe is a new bistro inside of the Sewell-Lincoln Dealership at Parks Legado Town Center. The Baker will be responsible for creating meal portions, prepping and cleaning, baking, and keeping a sanitized work area. We prefer a baker with experience in the food service industry and is committed to impeccable food presentation and taste, which is important for impressing our guests and creating loyal customers.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Complete all shift duties and closing duties
- Handle, store and rotate items properly
- Assist in food prep assignments during off-peak periods or as needed
- Maintain a clean station and work area throughout day
- Follow recipes exact instructions. Ensure quality, portion size, cooking time and consistency of every item that leaves your station
- Be a team player. Support and assist your fellow team members
- Uniforms and aprons should always be "front stage" clean
- Cook & bake only sufficient food in advance to cover expected business volume and maintain quality
Schedule: Monday - Saturday, 8am – 6pm
Skills & Requirements:
- Strong organizational skills and able to multitask
- Food handler certified
- TABC certified
- Work weekends/evenings
- Substantial knowledge of food safety and handling procedures
- Able to work in a team environment and take direction
- Self-motivated and organized
- Committed to quality service and food knowledge
- Handle a fast-paced environment
- Respect and support team members
Summary
Qualifications:
To be successful in this position, the individual must be able to perform each job responsibility satisfactorily, have a valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record, complete a drug screening, background screening, and provide all government I-9 requirements. A combination of education, experience, and training is always considered.
